THE STUDIO, an exclusive apartment on the ground floor of a beautiful historic building, in one of the most elegant quarters of Milan, the ideal space to receive friends, celebrities and key players in the fashion world for a made-to-measure beauty and image consultancy. No ordinary salon, THE STUDIO is one of a kind, standing out for its dedication to detail and total respect for privacy.
“People used to make an appointment and come to my house to have their hair cut,” explains Diodovich, “and it always ended up with us sitting down together at the kitchen table for a chat and a cup of coffee. So I decided the recreate the same situation – intimate and private. I wanted to be sure that everyone could feel at home. ”
Pastel-tinted plaster walls and inlaid wooden panels together with marble and brass fittings from the thirties lend the apartment a luxurious feel, inspired by the minimalist decorative style of Jean Michel Frank. The project was created in detail by architect and designer Pietro Russo. Three large, airy rooms, each one a complete, independent hair care facility, means clients do not need to move between areas and can enjoy their hair styling and treatment in an atmosphere of the utmost discretion.
The tasting of precious tea served in fine porcelain and the veranda adorned with lush plants, dissolve the thoughts and offer refreshment to the soul.Yet the driving force behind THE STUDIO emanates from the talent of Davide Diodovich. A lover of simple, finely executed shapes and forms, it is his instinctive, original command of style details that personalise his work and set him apart. His hair styling abilities are perfectly enhanced by the evident flair for colour of Susanna Celin. It is their combination of talents that sparks the creation of highly personalised, authentic looks that elevate the natural beauty of hair. “Your hair really is an expression of your identity”, as Davide Diodovich loves to say.
Professionally formed at Vidal Sassoon School of London, Diodovich stands out immediately for its cosmopolitan attitude. In London he serves as Art Director of the Vidal Sassoon Academy for several years. After a long period of work in Britain and Germany, began his career as creative, he took part to several movies and advertising productions as Nirvana by Gabriele Salvatores. This intense path leads him to a fateful meeting with fashion: it was love at first sight. He starts work at fashion shows in Milan, Paris and New York. Currently he’s working with famous fashion photographers and several international editorials, he cares of the celebrities italians and foreigners look, as the most famous fashion stylist Anna Dello Russo, Teresa and Margherita Missoni, editor and writer J.J. Martin, the singer Malika Ayane, top models as Bianca Balti and Anya Rubick, fashion blogger and stylist Linda Tol. Davide Diodovich follows also advertising campaigns for major brands as Dolce & Gabbana and Marc Jacobs.
